Poster Instructions

The workshop will include a one-hour poster session comprising a selection of the papers accepted to the workshop. Presenters will also be given the opportunity to give a two-minute "boaster" presentation about their poster in a rapid-fire series of presentations immediately before the poster session.

Poster setup
Posters will be displayed on the wall of the workshop location. Presenters should hang their posters first thing in the morning, beginning at 8.30am, and tear them down at the end of the event. Sticky tape will be provided to hang the posters. There is no need to bring a hard-back poster; an ordinary roll-up one will be easier to hang. A member of the workshop organizing committee will be on hand to help you position your poster and resolve any issues you may have. Please note: If you forsee there being any issues with your poster or demonstration we will be better able to address them if you warn us in plenty of time before the workshop.

Poster dimensions
The recommended size for the poster is 24" x 36" (i.e., 2 foot wide by 3 foot high). Please use portrait orientation as space to hang posters at the workshop site will be limited. Submissions were selected as posters based on their likely visual appeal, so please emphasize graphics if possible.

Demonstrations
You may also wish to give a demo to complement your poster. If you plan to do so, note that wired network access will not be available at the workshop. However, there will be wireless access and instructions for using the wireless network will be provided to all workshop attendees. Please do not depend too much on high bandwidth from this network; system demonstrations that do not require network access are preferred.

"Boaster" presentations
If you plan to give a boaster presentation, then please email your one slide to in PowerPoint (PPT or PPTX) or PDF format to Ryen White (ryenw@microsoft.com) before 5pm Pacific Time on Friday April 20. We will then load the presentations onto a laptop to keep speaker transition times to a minimum. Boaster talks should be no more than two minutes (this will be strictly enforced).

Poster printing
If you would like to print your poster locally rather than bringing it with you. There is a FedEx Kinkos within a 15 minute walk from the conference site:
