Student Travel Support
Two awards (of 500 USD each) to help students cover HCIR 2010 travel, subsistence, and registration costs are generously provided by Microsoft Research.
The deadline for applying is Fri July 30, 2010 (midnight PDT). Send completed applications to Ryen White. Decisions will be sent via email by Fri August 6, 2010.
Please note that:
- Applicants must register for the HCIR workshop by July 30 to be considered for the award. The workshop registration site will be available soon.
- Preference will be given to applicants who are primary authors and are presenting a paper - either as an oral presentation or a poster - at HCIR 2010. Authors who are not presenting will not be funded.
- Student travel support checks may be issued near to or after the workshop. As such, applicants should not depend on travel support to pay expenses upfront.
- It is assumed that applicants have only limited travel support. Your advisor may be asked to confirm that your institution cannot offer substantial support.
